Winamp was my favorite music player a few years ago. I still use it once in a while but is not my favorite player anymore, even though it could have been again if only was supported on my android phone. I do really think Android is in need of a good media player. Tunewiki is not bad, but still needs some improvements, and features. Winamp supposedly saw this need and tried to fill it by releasing the android app, but unfortunately is only supported on the latest android version releases, and my phone runs on android 1.6, so is not supported.
according to Winamp website, the cool features on the android app are:
- Wireless synch up with your desktop
- Shoutcast radio
that’s besides doing the normal media player stuff.
I would have loved to have winamp as my media player in my android phone, it kind of sucks that is not available for my android ROM version..
Are you kidding? None of the good apps are supported on android 1.6, especially media players. Time for an upgrade
