IE8 Security Warning, How to remove it

Internet Explorer 8 is great – fast, secure and convenient. but there a couple of annoying things that almost made me go back to Firefox. one of those things was the security Warning for secure pages:

security warning

this pop-up is annoying, every time I wanted to check my Google reader feeds, or any other secure page I got this warning – pisses me off. so how do you disable it?

easy! do this:

On Internet Explorer click on Tools then click on Internet Options when the Internet Options property comes up, click on the Security tab:

Select the Internet zone and click on the Custom Level button. the security settings will come up:

scroll down to Miscellaneous and Enable Display mixed content then click on Ok. restart IE. that should stop the security warning display.

After doing previous steps you have to go to Privacy which is Medium and in pop – up blocker you put a mark in front of turn on pop-up blocker then OK and restart
      It Is Doing Excellent Now

Thank you so much for this tip ! I've been dealing with this annoyance since I upgraded to IE8 and have been considering switching over to Mozilla just because of it. I never have been a fan of Mozilla and it will not work with the online classes I'm taking through a local college. Only Internet Explorer will function properly for those classes unfortuneately for now. I do wish more websites were compatible with the Google Chrome and Opera browsers, I really like Opera personally. Thanks again for the tip, I love ya for it !

Hi Maya, is your computer in a domain? it could be a GP policy that is over writing your local settings…

Thank you soooo much for the info here. I called MSN tech support( I have the Premimum edition) and after the 25 minutes of “press or say 1″ prompts, I was connected to a level 1 tech that informed me that the security warning could not be disabled without completely “rewriting the program”. I let my frustration get the better of me and hung up. I found your site today and found the solution in 2 minutes. Very concise and easy to follow instructions. I’m not the best at this tech stuff, but you made it simple and painless. WELL DONE SIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
