Internet Explorer Page Cannot Be Display Error

there are many things that might trigger an Internet explorer Page cannot be display error, so don’t take these tips as hard facts, but instead they should serve as a guideline for your troubleshooting efforts. the first thing to check when you open Internet explorer and you get the page cannot be display error is your Internet connection. are you getting an IP address from your router or ISP? if so, are they correct? make sure the DNS numbers you are getting are correct. if you suspect there might be some DNS issues with your router or ISP, you can always use a free DNS services like http://www.opendns.com/ to get rid of that possibility.

Make sure a proxy server is not checked.

I have seen users computers appearing with proxy servers on their Internet Explorer browsers all the sudden, so, you should discard this possibility too by checking the browser is not trying to connect through a proxy server. within Internet explorer go to Tools, then click on Internet Options, then click on the Connections tab, then right underneath click on LAN Settings:

LAN Settings

Make sure no Proxy Server is set here. the settings should be set to “Automatically detect settings” after checking all these settings, try Internet explorer again.

If it still giving you the same problem. the problem might be malware.

scan your computer with http://www.malwarebytes.org/ download the free version.

If that still does not fix the page cannot be display error on Internet explorer, repair Internet explorer by executing the following command on the command prompt:

“rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\Inf\ie.inf” that is without quotes.

You will need to insert the Windows XP or any other operating system in order for the repair to work.
