Save Files As PDF On Office 2007 Without Extra Software
Office 2007 brings a lot of new features, besides the new revolutionary ribbon which a lot of people hate, there are some useful features that come handy when wanting to do more with less. one of those features is saving files as PDF or XPS format. normally you have to install an extra program to do that on previous offices suite – some of those programs like Adobe Acrobat are very expensive. Now office 2007 comes with an add-in option that you can install to automatically save files as PDF or XPS formats. I don’t know if the add-in comes with the installation CD by default, but I do know you can download it here if you want to install it.
The Installation is straightforward, just accept the agreement and click install. now when you create a document, let’s say on Microsoft Word 2007, and want to save it as PDF or XPS format, click on the top Office Button, and then click on Save As button.
the option to save the file as PDF or XPS is now available under the list.
this add-in works good on simple text documents, but if a documents contain a lot of graphics, and other animations, it does not work that good. to convert documents with a lot of images and animations you will need to have a full program like Adobe Acrobat.
for me, this is enough.
