The Best Android Task Manager

The Android operating system according to the experts was designed to manage running tasks in an efficient way. basically a program that is not doing anything even though it shows up as running task in the OS should not utilize any resource, and thus it does not matter if you kill it or not. hence they say, a task manager is unnecessary. I would buy that, if the Facebook App wouldn’t kill my phone battery in less than 6 hours when running in the background without me even knowning. I have ran many tests with a couple of android phones, and all my tests have been positive – Facebook and other applications that constantly ping updates from the Internet utilize resources in the phone, it does not matter if you use them or not. the phone I use ( MyTouch 4G ) has an Accounts & Synch option where you can add applications and set the schedule for them synch, the problem is that it only support HTC related apps.

the truth is that if you want your phone to be faster, and prolong the battery life  a little longer, you have to kill the apps that run in the background. like I said, not all the apps are created equal, some of them probably behave according to Android rules, but there are the others like Facebook that are totally wild, these wild ones need to be killed. the best task manager I have found so far is ES Task Manager. is simple, quick, and it has an exit button.. there are many task managers in the market, and I have tried many of them, but ES Task Manager is my favorite.

MyTouch 4G battery life only last about 6 hours without killing apps, and it will go for 2 days when there are no unnecessary apps running in the background. clearly there is a huge discrepancy in my test results, and what the experts theorize.
