Use T-mobile Dash as a Modem To Access The Internet From PC


If you are a fortunate owner of a t-mobile DASH smart phone, then you know the device is like a computer when it comes to functionalities, but what many people don’t know is that the device can be hooked up as a modem to a PC or Laptop to browse the Internet.

If you are the owner of the DASH and have the active Sync software installed on the computer you want to access the Internet from, you only  need to connect the Dash to the USB cable, and from the DASH Go to Start>Accessories>Internet Sharing on the PC Connection make sure is set to USB and Network Connection make sure is set to T-Mobile Data and hit Connect. a small computer icon should pop-up by the system clock on the computer indicating you are connected to the Internet.

    OK, so I have a t-mobile dash and a netgear wireless-n router. All I have for internet access is edge network from the t-mobile dash. How do I create a wireless network in my home with these items? How do I share the tethered internet connection ? I have been working on this for a long time and do not think it is possible even though I read about people who are doing it.
